NGC PF69
The second issue in the Royal Canadian Mint's Premium Gold series celebrating the return of the Olympic Games to North America, this $300 gold coin features the games torch surrounded by action scenes of popular winter sports. Spectators ring the periphery. On the obverse is a portrait of the queen and the Inukshuk logo of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
The coin is struck in 60 grams (1.93 Troy ounces) of precious metal, 58.33% gold and 41.67% silver. At 50 mm in diameter, it's much larger than a silver dollar.
The Premium Gold series is a three coin, three year issue leading up the games. Only 2,500 coins were minted, making this $300 gold coin scarce out of the gate.
We are offering an even scarcer coin graded and encapsulated near-perfect PF69 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.
