NGC PF69 Ultra Cameo
Only 40 in existence and sold out at the Mint!
This mammoth Canadian gold kilo contains 1,000 grams (2.2 pounds) of gold! Struck to commemorate the return of the Olympic Games to North America, the $2,500 face value “Surviving the Flood” design features mythic images of the legendary flood from the Squamish people of British Columbia. The obverse displays the official Inuksuk logo of the 2010 Winter Games.
Struck in 99.99% fine gold, the gold kilo is 101.6 mm (4 inches in diameter).
Gold kilo commemoratives from Canada honoring the games are arguably the most elusive of all modern gold coins. The first three gold kilos quickly sold out, so we flew into Ottawa to secure a few of these Royal Canadian Mint Series III gold kilos for you.
But we didn't stop there. We submitted the coins to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation for independent grading. Only a small number came back with the near-perfect grade of NGC PF69 Ultra Cameo.
