1999 Rabbit, 2000 Dragon, 2001 Snake, 2002 Horse Twelve signs make up the the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Since 1999, they have also been the theme of a series of coins produced by Australia’s world-renown Perth Mint. Each year, a brand new one-year-only design pays tribute to the current Chinese New Year. No more than 50,000 of these one-ounce 99.9% fine silver coins will be minted — and each has been selectively gilded in 24-karat gold!

Each coins reverse depicts a one-year-only design selectively layered in gold while the obverse includes the Chinese character for that year along with a border of five bats among the clouds, symbolizing health, peace and prosperity. Each coin comes beautifully displayed in an official gold-colored presentation case and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Australia’s world-famous Perth Mint.
