Series 2004 “Color of Money” Collection with a $20 Note from All 12 Federal Reserve Banks
When the United States issued the Series 2004 $20 note, it introduced the first design to incorporate subtle background colors on U.S. currency since the 1905 $20 Gold Certificate. The new design was implemented to deter forgery. This collection features one $20 note from each of the Federal Reserve Banks with the lowest serial numbers available. Produced by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Each of these colorful Series 2004 $20 notes was one of the first 4,000 serial numbered “Color of Money” notes issued.
