This last in a series of silver pyramid coins honoring King Tut shows the king on his “Night Journey”. This 12-part trip carried the dead through the night to the dawn of their new life at its end. The central image is taken from a wall decoration of the young king’s tomb and shows him being welcomed by Anubis—the god of the underworld, and Hathor— the goddess of love. Above his head is a raying sun disk, which consists of a capsule of genuine sand snatched from the entrance to the pharaoh’s tomb! Each coin is struck in Brilliant Proof condition and contains 31.103 grams of 99.9% pure silver.
