In 1892 the Philadelphia Mint struck only 1.036 million Morgan Dollars. This was the lowest mintage for any mint that year—even the Carson City Mint struck more Morgans. An economic depression was in full swing by 1893, so these newly released Philadelphia Morgans were heavily circulated in the 1890’s. As a result, few survive today in higher grades. We are offering this tough to find dollar in Extremely Fine condition. Today the 1892-CC in EF which had a similar mintage of only 1.352 million can sell for as much as $595, so these Philadelphia Morgans in EF are a GREAT Value!
