A Rare Bond

Bond The three eldest sons of 19th century railroad mogul William Vanderbilt signed this large bond in the huge amount of $10,000. It is also signed by Chauncey M. Depew, a former New York Senator.

This bond was the most exciting item found in the “Syracuse University” archive. In 1966, the New York Central donated much of their early stock and bond archive to Syracuse University. Of the historical stocks and bonds in the lot, these rare Vanderbilt bonds were by far the top pieces acquired.

This bond features super color and graphics and comes with nice matching portraits and biographical information of all 5 famous men noted on this bond.

$10,000 Federal Reserve currency notes are highly sought after and can command a premium upwards of $100,000 depending on condition. This very large bond with these rare signatures is available for less than $900.

We are proud to have only five of these truly historic Jersey Shore, Pine Creek and Buffalo Railroad Company $10,000 bonds available.
