This 12-coin collection of ancient bronze and silver coins represents the history of the 12 most influential religions of the ancient world, such as Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism and Islam. Minted over a span of two millennia, the coins pre-date modern manufacturing methods and were struck or cast by ancient minting methods, so no two collections are exactly the same. Because so few surviving specimens of these coins have been discovered, only a very limited number of these sets are available.
